A volunteer ambassador programme for young people who want to champion equine welfare, raise awareness and help Highveld Horse Care Unit reach more people.
You do not need to be a rider
Turn your care for animals into action.
HHCU is recruiting volunteer ambassadors, predominantly teenagers, from both riding and non-riding backgrounds.
The goal is to build a growing team of young people who can represent Highveld Horse Care Unit at equine and suitable non-equine events, talk to people about the Unit's work and help raise awareness and funds for equines in need.
Whether horses are already a big part of your life or you simply care about animal welfare, you can apply to become part of the HHCU Ambassador team.

What ambassadors do
Your voice can help equines in need.

Represent HHCU
Attend suitable equine and non-equine events as a volunteer representative of Highveld Horse Care Unit.

Raise awareness
Use HHCU literature and conversations with event visitors to help more people understand the Unit and its work.

Champion the cause
Wear HHCU-branded clothing and help give the organisation a visible, positive presence in the community.

Support fundraising
Help encourage donations at events and direct supporters to the HHCU website when they would like to give online.
A growing team
One young voice can start a conversation. A team can reach much further.
HHCU would like to grow its ambassador programme so that more appropriate events can have a volunteer ambassador present. Each new ambassador can help introduce another person, family or community to the importance of equine welfare.
